The Future of Medical Education Journal (FUTURE MED EDUC J) is a peer-reviewed international journal published by Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, Iran.

The journal provides an international scholarly platform for the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarship in medical and health professions education. It serves medical and health professions educators, education researchers, academic leaders, curriculum developers, and healthcare professionals committed to advancing health professions education worldwide.

FUTURE MED EDUC J publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, narrative reviews, qualitative studies, short communications, Letters to the Editor, and editorials across all areas of medical and health professions education.

The journal welcomes submissions in areas including, but not limited to, undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, continuing professional development, curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, faculty development, competency-based medical education, simulation-based education, interprofessional education, digital health education, artificial intelligence in medical education, educational technology, program evaluation, educational leadership, and other emerging topics in health professions education.

To improve the accessibility and dissemination of published research across diverse linguistic communities, article abstracts are provided in English, Persian, Arabic, and Urdu, while the full text of all articles is published in English.

FUTURE MED EDUC J is a fully open-access journal. All published content is freely and permanently available online without subscription or access fees, in accordance with the principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of published articles without prior permission from the publisher or the authors.
